Terms of Sale for Businesses

Last updated: November 2, 2026

These terms apply to agreements between LingoStudio Dabrowski (enkeltpersonforetak) and companies, organizations and public institutions ("the client") for the provision of translation, Norwegian courses for employees, and related language services, as described at mylingostudio.com/en/for-businesses. For private individuals (consumers), our regular Terms of Sale apply instead, which among other things give consumers a right of withdrawal. This document applies from 13 October 2026.

01 Who the terms apply to

These terms apply when the client is a company, organization or public institution ordering services for use in its own operations. Since the client is not a consumer, consumer protection legislation (including the Right of Withdrawal Act) does not apply to these agreements.

02 Quotes and agreement

We offer written translation Norwegian–Polish and Polish–Norwegian, quality checks of machine translation, Norwegian courses and HSE Norwegian for employees, and translation of information notices for schools and kindergartens (Parent Info), as described by the packages and price calculator at mylingostudio.com/en/for-businesses.

The agreement is formed once the client has placed an order (by email, phone or contact form) and we have confirmed the order and price in writing, usually by email. A price estimate from the calculator on the website is indicative; the final price is always confirmed in writing before the job starts. Quotes are valid for 30 days.

03 Prices and VAT

Prices for individual jobs are normally calculated per word (see the price list and calculator at mylingostudio.com/en/for-businesses) or as a fixed price for the listed packages. Rush jobs (delivery within 24–48 hours) may incur a 50% surcharge on the standard price.

The company is not registered in the Norwegian VAT register (Merverdiavgiftsregisteret), so no VAT is added to prices.

Framework agreements (normally from approx. 20,000 words per year) are agreed separately in writing, with a dedicated price per word and dedicated delivery deadlines.

04 Client's responsibility

The client is responsible for ensuring that submitted material is legible, complete and lawful to translate, and for having the necessary rights to the material. The client is solely responsible for how the translation or course material is used internally within the organization.

For Norwegian courses and HSE Norwegian, the client is responsible for providing the agreed number of participants and the necessary equipment/premises for on-site courses.

05 Delivery

The delivery time is agreed in writing when each job is ordered. For the fixed packages, the delivery times stated at mylingostudio.com/en/for-businesses apply (including 48 hours for Parent Info notices). Delivery is normally by email, unless otherwise agreed.

On-site jobs outside Vestfold are carried out by arrangement. Travel costs and travel time are billed in addition to the agreed price, and are agreed in writing before the job starts.

06 Complaints

If the client finds errors or defects in a delivered translation or course program, the client must report this within 14 days of delivery. We correct errors in translations and texts free of charge. For the Welcome Package, free correction of errors reported within 14 days additionally applies, as described in the package. Claims must be raised in writing as soon as possible and no later than six months after delivery.

07 Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the price of the relevant job, and we are not liable for indirect losses or consequential damages (such as business interruption or lost profit). This does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

We are not liable for delay or non-delivery caused by circumstances beyond our control (force majeure). We will notify the client as soon as possible and offer a new delivery time.

08 Confidentiality

We treat all material the client sends us confidentially, and do not share it with anyone other than the person carrying out the job. We can sign a dedicated non-disclosure agreement (NDA) if needed.

09 Personal data

To the extent the client sends us documents or other material containing personal data (for example employee names in HSE documents), we act as a processor on the client's behalf. The terms for this are set out in our Data Processing Agreement, which applies automatically to such jobs. Documents containing personal data are deleted no later than 12 months after delivery, unless the client requests otherwise in writing. See also our Privacy Policy.

10 Tools and machine translation

We may use glossaries, translation memories and other professional tools in our work. For the "Quality check of machine translation" service, the client provides both the source text and the machine translation; we check and correct the machine translation, but do not guarantee the quality of source material the client has generated using machine translation.

11 Rights

Translations and course material we create may be used freely by the client within its own organization. Glossaries we create for the client are only used in jobs for that same client. We may continue to use general templates and tools.

12 Cancellation

A course can be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days before the start. For later cancellation, 50% of the course price is payable, and for cancellation less than 48 hours before the start, the full price is payable. Individual sessions can be rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours in advance.

If the client cancels a translation job after work has started, the client pays for the portion of the work already completed.

13 Payment

Payment is made against an invoice with a 14-day payment term, with the option of an electronic invoice (EHF) for public institutions that require it. For Parent Info arrangements, invoicing may be combined once a month. In the event of late payment, we may charge interest in accordance with the Norwegian Interest on Overdue Payments Act and a reminder fee under the Debt Collection Act.

Public institutions purchasing services below the national threshold for public procurement can normally purchase directly from us without a full tender process; the individual institution is nonetheless responsible for complying with its own internal procurement rules.

For jobs over 20,000 NOK, we may require a 50% deposit.

14 Governing law and disputes

The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are handled by Vestfold tingrett (district court), unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
